Gocco Go!

I did it....

I got a Gocco B6 from ebay! I can't use it as yet, because I don't have the bulbs to create the screens and it's torture as I can't wait to get Goccoing (!?)  Its disappointing that we have NO Gocco suppliers in the UK so it will be a while before I can start producing prints as I will have to order supplies from USA or Australia

Some Gocco links -

Shu-ju produces Gocco magazines which are a cross between beautiful 'art books' and Gocco experiment test sheets.  They are available on her website www.fingerstothebone.com

'The Small Object' has produced a great tutorial on her site.

xtinalamb creates wonderful retro styled illustrations and I instantly fell in love with her Gocco produced art book called "The World Belongs To Jane and Me".  See the beautiful prints at her Flickr account.  There is also a Gocco Group in Flickr Land with some fantastic prints.

Here are some gorgeous Gocco printed stationery from Saturate Design

I'd like to have a gocco too. You bought it over E-bay? Did you try any where else before?

I'd never realized you where living in Scotland. I like Scotland, but I've only been on the country side :-)

Hi Camilla,

I bought it from a UK seller on ebay, I didn't try to buy one from anywhere else as there are no UK suppliers, so ebay seemed like my best choice. The main Gocco stockists seem to be on the other side of the world in USA and Australia...

I haven't used one before but have done alot of screenprinting in the past, and wanted to do prints at home but had no way of exposing the silkscreens at home so Gocco seemed like a good idea...The print area is very small though (9cm x 14cm)

Glad to hear you have been in Scotland, it's nice here (when it stops raining!)...I live in Glasgow

Thanks for the gocco links, they are great. I bought mine in Australia, and got all my supplies from http://www.nehoc.com.au/ - they are really helpful and ship everywhere, so I would definitely recommend them. They sell rolls of screen print mesh that you can expose in sections on the B6 if you want to make bigger screens.

I'm now living in Japan and can buy supplies at the local stationary store, which is great but means I am always being tempted by beautiful ink colours - dangerous!

yay! welcome to the gocco world. you will love it!

good place for gocco supplies:

i think they ship internationally. they have the best prices and huge stock!

have fun!

Yay for you! James and I (my other half) are getting one from ebay, too! I can't wait for it. There is also a great article about it in Readymade magazine. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Yay for gocco!! I bought one recently from USA, it's seems bonkers that there are no suppliers in th uk! I am so excited but I haven't used it yet?!?!? Ta for the tutorial link I shall have a looksie!

congratulations, hope you get the bulbs soon!
