Some news - I am lucky enough to feature some of my work as part of the Bloom opening exhibition at Welcome Home, a new gallery and store in Glasgow, owned and curated by the very talented Mhari McMullan. Website will be up and running soon.
Great to see somewhere unique like this opening in Glasgow after Hitherto closed. The ever fabulous Abigail Percy is also exhibiting. See you there!

I picked up a pen again....
Roots
So my recent absense can be explained. We have bought our first house! I have a huge list to provide to the mortgage people before everything is concluded and before I can truly celebrate and rest easy. But in the meantime we are very excited to finally settle down and stop renting; albeit if it means being very poor for a while! Already my mind is full of thoughts of decorating; something I have never had to think of before as we were never able to decorate the flats we have rented in the past. One thing I am very excited to do is hang the art I have aquired recently - Lisa Solomon doily piece, Dawbis print, Stephanie's gold drawing, Mav's port2port press work, Camilla Engman print, Xtina Lamb gocco print.
One artist's work that I would love to own for my new home would be Elizabeth Schuppe, who I discovered through Lena Corwin's site. Elizabeth's beautiful use of colour and abstract shape reminds me of one of my favourite artist's Cy Twombly.

I wanted to share with you a recent trade I did with Stephanie from Seattle. I swapped one of my ink drawings for one of her line drawings, and was so delighted when it arrived in the post. Her organic lines are so precise and beautiful; it is hard to imagine that these were hand drawn. The ink in gold on lightly textured cream card stock.
