As I have mentioned before I have just bought my first flat and hope to move within the next few months, so my thoughts will be with design of homewares and interiors for the next few months. The amount of good and original design in this area is huge and the possiblities of the rooms can be a bit overwhelming. After renting for so long and not being able to paint or decorate - one thing I am sure of, I want my new home to reflect me (and G of course!) I will be scouring the archives of design*sponge for inspiration. Recently I
have been interested in the customisation of wallpaper and the vinyl
stickers that can be applied to walls. I had the idea of maybe transferring one of my line drawings onto a feature wall and played about with a few images on photoshop. Recently for my paintings I have been planning to increase the scale but this is difficult because i draw with a nib pen and recreating the line quality on a large scale is very difficult. So I want to save for one of these artograph tracers (any excuse to buy a new toy!) and maybe I can experiment with increasing the scale of my artwork and also try transfering one of my drawings onto a wall in my new home.
Nice quirky home products which serve a purpose that is not 100% necessary but nevertheless have a functionality that I want!
